Fantastic book - if you're a Hendrix nut, you'll love the detail and "behind the scenes" look at his recording and performance legacy. It sheds a whole new light on his music.
I have read four Hendrix biographies, beginning with the Chris Welch book released decades ago and ending with this one. I also read the other McDermott/Kramer book from 1992, Setting the Record Straight.
While there are a few good moments, overall, there are a number of shortcomings. Shows are listed (with set lists), but mostly without any comment or review.
