How important are soft skills in managing a project? How many times have you sat through a dull and ineffective meeting? Have your projects fallen short because of a lack of focus or scope? Do you struggle to lead teams that are quarrelsome or unproductiv.

Software Project Management is a science. A religious science, which requires taking crucial/critical decisions.

There are myriad of books, articles and discussions on project management, especially describing project management in a very conventional way beginning from the initiation phase to the closure phase. From my perspective, one of the reasons, I would mention that this book stand out among others is because of the unconventional way the author has perceived, experienced and shared his knowledge on the primary and practical areas of the project management.

My problem with books on subjects like XXX Management is their authors seem to be in a world of their own, which would be okay if it overlapped a bit with the situation in real world. Not the mention how sleepy you feel.
